11:05pm - Well, here we go. First your final totals. 17 performances. 6 political statements... 13 commercils totalling 1 hour and 11 minutes. just 2 thanks of God. I only peed once. and this awards show only gave out 10 awards. Now, normally I say I hope you were introduced to some music you might not normally hear, or that we enjoyed an incedible performance of people put together that only the Grammsy cna provide, but none of that happened tonight. 10:56pm - For the first time in I think 7 years the Grammys are going to run over.....so the most boring show ever is going to run long. Wow...producers need to never work again. Just terrible.
10:53pm - Have I mentioned..worse Grammys ever? If it was a fight they would have stopped it. I mean I completely respec the message for suicide prevention, but this show has had zero energy.

9:53pm - Tally time....so in the first 2:15 of this show...we had 13 performances, two thankings of God, 5 political statements, still no bathroom breaks for me (am I dying), 8 commercial breaks totalling 41 minutes, and the awards have slowed down with 7 given out!

So 90 minutes into the show here is where we are at... 10 performances, 3 politcal statements, five commercial breaks totalling 23 minutes. 1 thanking of God. Still no bathroom breaks but we are on bottle of wine #3 here at casa de connor. And this awards show is way ahead of its pace giving out 5 awards already!

They should have stuck with the Feathers theme pissing off PETA and had feathers swinging out of their asses they would have looked better!
8:29pm - Apprantly I should have been tallying white jackets/coats/suits. Cynda points out that green crushed velvet suits will remain at one.
8:27pm - This is a very 70's sound too.....very Shaft-ish. And a bunch of true musicians...I mean listen to everything they have going on. It may be mellow, but it's awesome. Going to be hard to beat this performance.
8:17pm - Dave L points out the tribute was the first song perofrmed tonight that yo ucan dance too...spot on! So as we wrapped up the first 45 minutes of this show our summaries thus far. 6 perormances, 2 commercials for 8 minutes, 1 political statement, 0 thanks to god, and zero bathroom breaks for me....and the award show is way ahead of its pace by giving out 3 awards already! 8:14pm - what a tough category best pop performance....and Ed Sheerin takes down the ladies. I mean that was some collection!
8:12pm - The tribute to Fats & Chuck....just listen to how smooth that sound is...and it's got so much bite. That is music my friends.
8:08pm - multiple people saying that desposito better not win record of the year. Well, it will win record of the year becasue that is perforamnce and popularity and overall. However, song of the year is a song writing award, and it sure as shit better not win that. But then again, Jethro Tull won best heavy metal grammy. Five for Fighting won best duo or group....the acadamy knows less about music than I knew at age 12....less than the Idiots know...and they like shit music!
8:03pm - The grammys at the garden has to be awesome. I've never been to a large venue with better sound. Oh, and why is the chick from Little Big Town wearing Sam Smith's coat?

7:37pm - And our first political statement of the night....as a satire...Kendrick Lamar w/ Dave Chappelle.....incredibly well choregraphed....and for those that are already yelling about it (you know you far right foks), then you missed the entire thing. It was well done!
7:28pm - okay...looking forward to our host. He is genuinely funny and a music fan...so he will be a highlite of the show...I can't promise anything else. Other than I will get intoxicated at some point. The fireplace is lit, Jen is lit...well almost. Gracie is sleeping. It's game on!
7:25pm - Marybeth just saw a Pink Flamingo on the Red Carpet...clearly i'm not drinking enough...but if you see Pink...you will understand!
7:20pm - I wasnt the only one who enjoyed the opening of the Red Carpet and the quesion "give the people a hint of what they will see when they turn on their TV's tonight" let's forget the fact that the question is well stupid i mean dont we already have our tvs on to see the question..but the answer "I think....I think....I think"...and that was it. Marybeth with the first text of the night! Yeah, we are ready.
7:09pm - The red carpet has started, and we have some really ugly outfits....you should know I will not be tallying beers consumed this year. I'm drinking wine, and one bottle is down already....so it will either be hysterical, obnoxious, or I'll be asleep before the Death Real!
7:03pm - CBS is in trouble...big trouble. CBS screws up the opening pretty much every year...this year, will be the biggest yet!
