If anything the Chronicles are a lesson in Roman Numerals……..and not much more!

Studio 60 is gone….i don’t agree with it, but I understand it….it was too smart for a country full of people who live their lives through others they watch on reality shows. When you are so fucking stupid that you love to watch Olympic athletes perform ballroom dancing it makes sense that you are too stupid to follow an intelligent show.

But what I don’t understand is how The Class didn’t make it. This was right up America’s alley, just stupid funny well delivered one liners and some great physical comedy like the stop sign off the reporters head or Richie Velch on the strippers pole! I’ll never understand the TV market.

Even shows that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed have let me down. Hero’s was awesome all year. I mean amazing and then they totally fuck up the ending.

My favorite fuck up of the year goes to 24….a show I’ve raved about for more than 5 years. The show is based on 24 hours……yet they only wrote enough material for 17 hours! The producers admitted they had to just slap on 7 more hours….and they couldn’t even do that. I have no fucking idea what the last 20 minutes was for.

Lost may have wavered, but it’s back on track in a huge way. If you gave up on this show like millions of others, you have truly lost out. Especially now that they have an end game in site. The killer here is we have to wait until 2008 for the next season….ouch!

Soprano’s is getting back on track just in time for a huge last 2 episodes. It will be hard for them to fuck this up……but anything is possible.

Ok….are you sitting down? Seriously, sit down. Kirk & Gina are engaged! Well, Kirk told me he was engaged, I just assumed it’s to Gina! The apocalypse is upon us my friends! Seriously, congratulations to you both……while I am unbelievably shocked despite how looong overdue this was, I am even happier that if finally happened.

I do have one question though……did Kirk get the ring retail? He had to play some angle here! Hahahaha…..that line will piss him off.

I have a large number of Yankee fans who know baseball and are good fans. But there are a tremendous number of Yankee fans (and every other team) that no nothing. A message to those no nothing Yankee fans. Stop with the “we need to sweep this series” and the “we need one of those 8 and 1 or 13 and 12 swings”. No, you don’t! You need to start winning series, start taking 2 out of 3 and things will fall into place. Fucking morons.

It’s a holiday weekend, so I’m putting the over/under at 6.5 for the number of NFL players arrested over the 3 days.

Are we at a period yet where we can give them their own dedicated court, judge and prison? I mean wouldn’t that save time & money?

The 5th annual Tommy Ashton 3 on 3 tournament was another huge success! If I counted right, a total of 64 teams were in the 3 brackets! Congrats to the Ashton family & their crew of helpers who work incredibly hard for months to pull that thing off! One would think my most embarrassing moment would be playing in the over 40 tournament, but it wasn’t. I introduced Monsignor Hardiman as Mr. Hardiman…….the lesson as always….I’m an idiot!

The NBA conference finals started early this week….almost a week ago, but the finals don’t start until June 9th? How is this possible?

Is the NHL still playing? You know your in trouble when NBC leaves an Overtime hockey game to go to a pre-show for a horse race! Who made that decision? Overtime playoff hockey is super exciting…it really is. But instead people got to watch midgets with high voices talk while horses took shits in the background.

So in the mail the other day I got a Thank You from a wedding that happened so long ago I might have had hair. The price of postage has gone up twice since this wedding…..seriously, there were 3 stamps on the envelope! One more price hike and they wouldn’t have room for a return address! If they would have conceived on their wedding night (being that that was the first time they had sex) their child would be able to right the thank you’s for them!

But thank god for all involved that didn’t happen!

Well, it’s memorial day weekend which means it’s fleet week! The single girls in the neighborhood are all thrilled because they love seamen! What a cheap joke!

And with memorial day here, this little note. Whatever your position on the ware, you should always support the troops. If you are too stupid to understand the difference between supporting the troops and supporting the war, than your too fucking stupid for your opinion to count.

We will all party & celebrate this weekend and we’ll enjoy the extra day off….and there is nothing at all wrong with that. Just take a moment at some point, any point, to remember why. Not enough people do.
