The Connor Chronicles Volume LXXXI

The dumbing down of America continues! It’s coming from all ends. Is it that the majority of people are in fact morons? Is it that the majority of people are lazy? Is it that people don’t care? Is it that decision makers think people are morons, lazy or don’t care? Is it a combination? Is it a lack of intelligence or a lack of patience or both?

I don’t claim to be a genius….ok…that’s a lie I am a genius & I’ve got the papers in the car to prove it…..but, where did it start? When did it start? Who decided that going to a baseball game was no longer entertaining? Instead we now go to a baseball event where we are entertained between every pitch, every out, every inning, by music, by mascots, by cheerleaders, by flying T shirts…….by the idiot sitting 4 seats away yelling something he thinks is funny….ok that’s me……..but you get the point.

When did we get so dumb that we can’t watch TV shows that require thought? I mean Studio 60 is the best written show on TV. Funny, quick & smart all in one. It’s West Wing but in a different location…..including pretty much the same cast. They just aired their best episode ever the other day & in doing so they pushed the envelope on using God’s name in vein and it was simply awesome. The banter, the quick wit, just great writing. But yet this show is in trouble. Why, what are people watching?

Two and a half men is the #1 comedy on TV….and believe me, it is extremely funny at times, but anyone can write that kind of humor. Even the dramas that are supposed to make you think are being written so loose…with so many wholes that they are basically saying “Yeah, we know this makes no sense and it could never have happened this way, but you are morons and wont notice….or if you do notice you are too dumb to care”.

Then throw in the lets make the questions easier on the tests so kids can pass thing and the we cant correct their spelling thing……I mean whose running these schools….Joel Klein or a Calvin Klein model?

And of course the “hey all level 3 sex offenders….on Halloween make sure you are in your house by 3 in the afternoon”

Let’s see kids get out of school at 3 and start going house to house to take candy from strangers…….whose running this city mayor Bloomberg or mayor McCheese? This is the equivalent of asking Schmeds to make sure nobody eats the doughnuts.

And speaking of politicians……let me get this straight…..they all think we are so dumb that every advertising campaign was “The other guy is a crook…so don’t worry about what I might do or not do”. Seriously, were there any issues discussed at all?

But the fact is there are a tremendous number of dumb people in the world. Look at the guy in London this week who stuck a firework like a bottle rocket in his ass & lit it. He suffered damage to his colon…..not to mention the frank & beans.

One of this guys friends got it on video…..so I said lets check it on Youtube……so I search for fireworks ass, fireworks butt and such. And I come back with hundreds upon hundreds of people who have done the same exact thing!

Britney & K-Fed broke up…..ok 2 marriages down 6 to go for Brit.

Hey Doc Gooden released from jail yesterday…..41 years o.ld. Should be hitting his prime like the other 40something year old steroid using pitchers (Rocket, Gambler)…but instead he chose other drugs.

This just in….the Mets new ballpark will be called CitiField……sell those rights baby…gotta pay for Soriano somehow!
