The Connor Chronicles Volume LXX

I know we have friends and family that are transit workers, but sorry, they all should be fired. They are giving it to everyone of us right in the ass….well you know what? Time for them to bend over. The mayor or Governor or MTA’s next statement should be: “Tomorrow in all major newspapers you will see applications for available jobs. We will know how many jobs are available by how many people are still not at work”.

Let’s face it, finding bus drivers won’t be that difficult. Getting the subways up will take a bit longer, I mean training a couple of dogs or chimps to tell the difference between the signals might take a bit….but the fucking thing is on a track! This is what the union gets for following Bob Marley. The Guy could write some great lyrics, but not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. Was it a coincidence that the Jamaica line went on strike first? I think not! Or that he walks the picket line in Jamaica?

The national transit union is telling them they are wrong for christs sake! They have 3.5 million in the bank & are being fined 1 million per day. That means half way through tomorrow they are bankrupt! Sounds like they thought this through really well! They figure they will negotiate the fines away. Well, I don’t think the city is going to blink…and I don’t blame them. Hey, make it through today & you are in good shape. Tomorrow is a light day. Next week is a very lite week. The rest of us are getting paid. And if all you TWU employees can keep going without a paycheck (not to mention the penalties when you do go back), well then apparently your making too much fucking money right now!

Police, Firemen & Teachers all went years without contracts. You guys didn’t even go a week! FUUUCCCCCKKKKKKK YOU! You are nowhere near as important as those 3 professions.

And you know what the killer is? If you had a leader with any brain at all you could have easily swung this in your favor. You want to know how? On the day your contract expired. Come out and say “Our riders are way too important to us. This city is way too important to us. We know what this time of year means to this city and what a strike would do to everyone. Especially so many small businesses. Not to mention we are just a few days away from winter. Therefore, we will continue to work under the old contract and continue to negotiate in good faith until March 31st. At that time, if we still don’t have a new contract we will be forced to strike. And hopefully it will be an easier time on everyone involved”

That’s freaking it! One paragraph & you put ALL the pressure on the city & bring the public opinion to your side! But you are following Bob Marley after he’s smoked a pound of Jamaican gold!

I’ve pounded the mayor plenty of times in the past, but this time….don’t blink Mr. Mayor! Fuck Them! This city has survived far worse then this.

Now let’s talk about unions in general. Yeah, unions are what built this country, but they are the dowfall as well. The reason being the majority of workers have no pride in their work. They are lazy and couldn’t give 2 shits about anyone other than themselves. They score a union job & figure they are golden. Can’t get fired. Someone else fights for my raise. I can be rude to anyone I want including customers & superiors. I’ve got guaranteed cash money! Anyone who manages people in the private sector will tell you that the average raise is 3%. But if you have people who deserve more because they work harder & do a better job, you can give them 5%....but you have to take away 2% from other people to make it average out. In unions it don’t matter. The raise goes across the board and everyone figures why work harder then the next guy. So instead of trying to do better then each other they are trying to see who can do worse then LESS then each other.

Yeah, how many of you did I piss of with that paragraph? Well, you ALL know I’m right so go fuck yourselves! Are there some people who still take pride in their work…of course! But unions and fucking welfare while I’m at it have outlived their usefulness.

And don’t tell me the Taylor law isn’t fair like some fucking moron on the news at 4am this morning was trying to…..it’s a fucking law & that’s that! Some people feel that smoking pot shouldn’t be against the law…but you know what? It IS..so shut the fuck up!

Yeah, I’m in the Christmas Spirit! You want giving….give these guys all a tailpipe enima and see how fast they get back to work!

Think about it…they are letting Bob Marley & a few other guys who make way more money then the rank & file make decisions for them! You know what…Marley ain’t the stupid one…it’s all of you without a voice! Keep walking those picket lines like the little puppets that you are!

My wife usually only see’s 6am on her way into the house, not on the way out!

Isn’t technology a great thing…..i mean do you know how many people simply worked from home!

I drove in this morning at 4am. And the traffic from people getting in before the 5am curfew was unbelievable…which shows me that people are finding ways to do it!

Ok, enough of that…..my blood pressure was rising!

Is Brett Favre disgracing himself or what? I mean seriously….he is just throwing the ball as far as he can and hoping that someone from his team catches it…which they never do.

Tony Dungy’s 18 year old son was just found dead……this will either hurt that team badly or be a rallying cry…we shall see.

The Patriots are getting healthy & as Joe Arg say’s, until someone beats them, they are the champs!

Yankee fans still complaining about the team being too quiet? Cashman just made the best move of the year so far. You needed a leadoff hitter & a center fielder. So you went out and got arguably the best leadoff hitter in baseball & a guy who can definitely track the ball. PLUS…you took this all star away from the Red Sox….best move of the year by far so shut up you spoiled bitches or I’ll give you a tailpipe enima too!

Where do we find a sweater with 2 head holes & 3 arm holes…..you know, in case Mike Hags slips one past the goalie!

Schmeds & Annie’s first Christmas as a married couple. I mean he’s been a couple of people for years, but this is their first as a couple. What do you get your 33 year old husband whose retired for Christmas? How about the fucking Help Wanted Section of a paper! Hey Schmeds, can you drive a bus? If not we’ll put you on a train with the dogs.

As I write this the Union just blinked. They are taking steps to get back to work while the talks resume. There was never any doubt!

Ok, now where was i. Is it wrong to ask for gift certificates to a hit-man for Christmas? Is there such a thing? If so, that’s what I want.

Hey, how is Isaiah Thomas and the NY KNicks doing? Yep, great job there! He might as well been the head of the TWU.

Well, that’s really all I’ve got right now…I’m fighting a cold & am not thinking clearly….if I get any more delirous I could run a union or something.

In any event, I want to wish all of you and your families a Very Merry Christmas. I know some of you who read this also celebrate Chanuka, so Happy Chanuka to you! And to all, A Happy Festivus to The Rest Of Us and health & happiness in 2006.

For those of you with brand new babies this Christmas….enjoy the day! For those of you have kids are now at that age that they are understanding what it’s about, have a great deal of fun!
